Main UK Regional Groups
Time Out

Not a Group meeting as such but very useful for anybody going out in London or New York. Time Out has become an institution on whats happening and where to go in these cities.

Hastings Haven

The Hastings Haven started out as the 'Brighton Haven' in the mid 80's. It moved from Brighton to Hastings in 1990 when the founders Paul & Fiona were forced to give up due to ill health. For 10 years a dedicated couple named 'P & D' ran the venue from their home in Hastings. During that time the Haven welcomed and helped over 600 visiting TV's & TS's from the South East and far away as Russia & the USA! In January of 2000 'P & D' decided to 'retire' but the Haven successfully carries on in Hastings to this day.The venue remains the premier place for TV's & TS's to go South of London, and is now run by Dori a post-op TS, who is dedicated to carrying on the tradition. Parties (not meetings!) are held the first Saturday of each month with all the 'usual' facilities. You can contact Dori on 01424 426264 who will warmly welcome newcomers. If you're a 'first-timer' reluctant to 'come-out' then the Haven's the place for you!

The Mayflower Club is a very active and outgoing club for transvestites, transexuals, and their spouses or partners, based in Southampton. It holds meetings along the south coast, Hampshire, Dorset and inland into Berkshire. There are activities to suit most tastes, in various venues and we also run 'special events' such as meals out, balls, dances and discos. They have a monthly magazine, which gives listings of all our events, and those further afield, plus interesting articles, letters and 'helpful hints'. The Mayflower Magazine's aim is to inform and entertain.

Also please pass on word that the Hampshire Ram, is no longer Transgender, Gay or Lesbian friendly! We are no longer welcome there, and so to avoid embarrassment please keep away. Also the Honest Lawyer can be knocked off the list too. This will be remedied in the next Mayflower Mag.

Foxy Girls (Felixstowe & East Anglia)

FXG is the Felixstowe and East Anglia Transgender Group, a support group given to support of the trangendered population. We meet socially on a regular basis at various venues throughout North Essex and East Anglia to socialise and support other transgendered people who come along and may or may not have need of our support. We meet every Wednesday at The Fox and Hounds Public House in Little Bromley, near Manningtree, North Essex (just off the A120).

Foxy Friends UK

This group was started by the t*girls who visit the Fox and Hounds in Little Bromley, Essex, England. Every Wednesday evening the The Felixstowe and East Anglia Transgender Group, known as the FXG, meet here informally. There's usually a good number present. Several of the girls have a meal there too. There used to be a disco on these nights, but now there's just MTV on some monitors. You'll find there's also a few gays and lesbians, as well, on these nights, plus one or two locals. This is a public house, so anyone is welcome, but dress moderately please. You'll find the atmosphere very friendly. You could even bring your mother along too, if you like! It might be an idea to bring a camera too. You might find a use for it.

Shy first timers can make arrangements with one of the regulars to meet in the car park, situated to the side and rear of The Fox and Hounds. They can then go into the pub accompanied. Sunday Lunch is quite popular with some of the girls as well.

Changing facilities are available. Ring John, the landlord, for details. Tel: 01206 397415.
