Like
him or loth him you will want to read this book of secrets
that has shocked the British Royal family. Perhaps this
is the first stage of finding the truth about what really
happend to the British Nation's most loved icon; H.R.H
Princess Diana.
Who killed H.R.H.
Princess Diana? – the tip of the iceburg of what
the Butler knows
The startling revelations
now emerging from Paul Burrell, Diana’s former butler,
confidant and so called “Rock” are set to
shake the foundations of the British Monarchy; indeed
the fabric of the British Institution itself.
As some of you will know,
Diana was a friend to the Gay community and her autographed
picture still hangs in pride of place neatly over the
spirit optics at Jimmy’s Bar in London (see Nightlife
Section). A staunch ally and supporter of AIDS charity,
Terrence Higgins Trust, Diana was committed to compassion
and grass roots social justice. I met her once and was
captivated by her sense of interest and down to earth
values…. Indeed a wonderful person. I remember that
fateful day when logging into AOL, I was shocked to see
the news headline “ Diana Killed” flash up
and the dreadful Paris accident scenario unfold…
I cried.
The last interview with
Diana was impromptu and off the coast of Sardinia. Do
you remember the words she stated “Something big
was set to happen… a real revelation”. 24
hours later she was dead. Since then we have had speculation
and conspiracy theories abound. So what may have really
happened?
For the first time we
can start to piece together a possible solution and I
believe that as time goes on and more of Mr Burrell’s
secrets unfold, the truth will emerge. There is no way
that those who may be responsible directly or indirectly
for the death of our Nation’s most loved icon can
get away from the justice that is just around the corner.
Diana’s mahogany box was meticulously filled with
evidence of a Royal family demeanour so distasteful it
is unthinkable. What we now know is that the primary whistle
blower was the so called rape tape which is the 1996 interview
that Diana engaged with former palace valet George Smith.
November
9th 2003 Update
On the tape Smith states that he was raped (not once but
twice) by a trusted Royal aid now known as Fawcett the
former PA to Prince Charles but… and as we are now
informed it goes much further. Smith makes another startling
revelation that he witnessed a serious lewd incident involving
a senior member of the Royal family (we now know as Prince
Charles) and a well respected Palace servant. All we OFFICIALLY
are not supposed to know as at November 9th 2003 is the
gory detail of what happened! The little box was entrusted
to Burrell with the possible words. “Paul if anything
happens to me then expose it and them. However ugly Mr
Burrell’s recent money making actions may be we
have to examine carefully the basis upon which they are
made.
Clearly the tape was so
explosive that who ever was named on it may well been
behind the search of Diana’s mother’s house
in Scotland while she, Mrs Shand Kidd was at an engagement
in London. One obvious target of the search was the tape.
A mysterious hooded gunman then points a browning 9mm
at Smith and says "talk and you are a dead man"
before beating him up. A then bungled attempt in Court
to discredit Burrell as a common thief of Diana’s
property failed by intervention of the Queen and so the
stage was set.
A cover up in the extreme.
Male rape is a crime and a person accused should stand
trial whether Royals may be involved or not. But then
this opens more questions. If persons not wishing this
allegation to leak out knew that the tape existed and
that Diana was in possession and even half suggesting
she may expose the names on it then the unthinkable springs
to mind. More hooded gunmen? We dare not even say it aloud.
And if this could possibly have happened then who would
be the accomplices who arranged the dreadful deed in order
to protect the British Institution of Monarchy and a senior
Royal from public humiliation and possible prison sentence
for Smith's rapist ?
Of course we are all told
that Smith is not credible - He is sick and mentally unstable...
a madman even. Of course he imagined it all and had delusions.
Sir Michael Peat the Prince's PPS has gone on National
television to tell us all that the story, the detail of
which he cannot disclose, cannot possibly be true because
the Prince told him so. The British people are supposed
to buy that!
I wouldn’t want
to be any in the loop who may be sitting on the hard evidence
right now! But the truth we will get sooner or later and
if a crime is proven then all those responsible should
be rounded up and thrown in the tower.
So who has the tape? Is
the allegation factual? And when if ever will it be published?
and will the CPS prosecute Fawcett for rape?
We
cannot print it but here as the most famous transgender
site in the World may be taken to court, but here is a
link to an Italian Television web page that carries the
story that Buckingham Palace do not want the British People
to hear. EG who was caught in bed having nooky with whom?...
Fawcett
for Queen? Gosh it's so boring.

Transgender
Underground: London and the Third Sex
By
Claudia Andrei
Our Price: £14.95
|
During
the year 2000, multimedia artist Claudia Andrei embarked
on an ambitious personal assignment to explore and characterize
a culture that's often overlooked. She immersed herself
in the world of London's transgender community, going
to transvestite clubs, visiting her models and photographing
them and hanging out in the TG community.
Her
book represents two years of research involving carefully
structured, in-depth personal interviews with seventeen
of her subjects ranging from transvestites, transexuals,
drag queens and androgynes chosen for this unique book.
With a striking photo on the glossy cover. Inside, the
photos, both colour and black and white are all engaging
and the text conveys a diversity of individuals with
a corresponding variety of stories.
This
book will give you an understanding of the true nature
of what being transgendered is all about. It is a remarkable
reading experience packed with information and insight.
A 'must read' for anyone with an interest in the gender
bending scene.
This
is quite a book. Claudia Andrei's Transgender Underground
provides a much needed insight into a shadowy community
that all too often is misrepresented by press and public
alike. Andrei's artworks, several of them reproduced
in colour, show her subjects off at their most engaging
and flamboyant. Her interviews with them, meanwhile
- presented as straightforward 'statements' rather than
as laborious Q and A sessions - are just as engaging,
frequently funny and always illuminating. Highly recommended.

This
is a book every "girl" needs.
Charles/Patricia writes with humour and
authority, covering almost every issue that
a transvestite faces when first beginning
to dress. Beginning with the basics on hair
removal and progressing through wig choice,
makeup and underwear to choosing clothes,
this book is packed with practical tips
and advice for the real world: "short
cuts to femme gorgeousness". Even those
of us who have been dressing for a while
will find something useful in here.
Patricia
focuses on ways to make the best of what you
already have. She does away with any suggestion
that the average man can transform himself
into the perfect woman and focuses on working
with your existing body, build and face. For
example, if you have a typical male build,
you're never going to look good in something
built to show off the slender torso of a willowy
woman; instead, follow Patricia's advice on
spotting dresses and tops that will minimize
those shoulders.
Similarly,
the book demolishes some of the myths peddled
by retailers keen to make a few quid by selling
dreams to emerging trannies. Specially padded
undergarments, clinchers and even silicones
are subjected to Patricia's critical "do
we really need this" test. To her credit,
whilst she backs up her opinions with experiences
and quotes, she doesn't preach and rarely
presents herself as showing the One True Way
to cross-dress, so I feel better that I'll
never agree with her about a girl being able
dress without boobs!
It's
not perfect: for example, the section on makeup
commits the cardinal sin of explaining with
words what a couple of simple pictures would
make so much more evident. Some discussions
such as the best way to hide beard shadow
cover several alternatives but don't necessarily
conclude with any firm recommendations. Oh,
and it's written by an American, so all the
usual caveats about sizes and brand names
apply.
The
book closes with what is for me a slight lapse
as it descends a little into Californian "self-actualization"
territory, although it does still contain
useful advice. The section on coming out is,
however, lamentably short.
All
in all, this book has joined the Tranny Guide
in my bag as an essential, practical and humorous
source of advice for a girl who, like me,
wants to look good without all the effort.
Thoroughly recommended.

This
beauty book is a dream. Short
(116 pages)but packed with step-by-step
instructions and brilliant illustrations
(one would expect nothing less
from the excellent Dorling Kindersley),
it enables the beginner or intermediate
make-up enthusiast to perfect
their individual look. It helps
you analyse your face shape, skin-tone
etc. and then illustrates with
colours and tools how to make
the most of them, or cover up
flaws. It takes you through all
skin-care regimes such as toning
and moisturising and shows you
step-by-step how to apply foundation
properly, for example. What I
liked most was that the models
had 'real' skin and less than
perfect features to begin with
- which means you can compare
yourself and work on making your
eyes look bigger with shadow or
toning down rosiness with correctors,
to name just a few. And the models
are not all white - thank goodness.
Women of all skin colour will
gain from the book. Various life-like
colour palettes for shadow, foundation,
nail polish etc. give you much
help in choosing colours which
which suits your tone of skin.
You can make all your choices
based on these illustrations which
approximate real colours, unlike
lots of other beauty books. Little
boxes throughout give you Tips
and each section, eg. lips, eyes,
nails has an 'Effects' page for
recreating certain looks. There
is also a wonderful gallery of
eight looks for copying at home.
I can really recommend this because
it has an emphasis on 'classic',
not fads or fashions, so it will
never go out of date. Plus you
take the onus for experimenting
with the ideas in the book. It's
biggest asset is that it assumes
we are all of different skin-tone
and type and works hard to cover
all angles so that you can find
and show-off your own 'classic'
look.

| This
is not the sort of salacious account you might read
in the newspapers. Nor is it a superficial Western
guidebook account of 'transvestite cabarets.' Richard
Totman lived with a Thai family for several months
listening to the kathoey telling their own stories,
and adding an account of their long history as an
intrinsic part of Thai culture and their relationship
to the nation's religion. But most of all, this
a charming account of real human beings.

| Fifteen
years ago, when it was first published, "The
Transsexual Empire" challenged the medical
psychiatric definition of transsexualism as a disease
and sex conversion hormones and surgery as the cure.
It exposed the antifeminist stereotyping that requires
candidates for transsexual surgery to prove themselves
by conforming to subjective, outdated and questionable
feminine roles and "passing" as women.
Then as now, defining and treating transsexualism
as a medical problem prevents the person experiencing
so-called gender dissatisfaction from seeing it
in a gender-challenging or feminist framework. Transsexualism
goes to the question of what gender is, how to challenge
it, and what reinforces gender stereotyping in a
role-defined society. In the new introduction to
this feminist work, Raymond discusses how these
same issues are now debated in the context of transgender.
Transgenderism reduces gender resistance to wardrobes,
hormones, surgery and posturing - anything but real
sexual equality. It assimilates the roles and definitions
of masculinity and femininity, often mixing and
matching, but never really moving beyond both. In
a similar way, transsexualism is thought to be a
radical challenge to gender roles, breaking the
boundaries of gender and transgressing its rigid
lines. But if the transsexual merely exchanges one
gender role for another, and if the outcome of such
a sex reassignment is to endorse a femininity which,
in many transsexuals, becomes a caricature of much
that feminists have rejected about many-made femininity,
then where is the challenge, the transgression,
and the breaking of any real boundaries? This book
will be used as a text in women's studies, psychology,
sociology, technology and public policy, as well
as by medical students, law students, and all who
have an interest in feminist issues.

This
short book is intended to be a resource primarily
for non-trans people who wish to get a simple
grasp on current transgender issues. Perfect for
older high school students, university undergraduates
from many fields who need a simple explanation
to the back ground of their project work, and
for family and friends of trans people who simply
want to understand.
It
addresses the historical, social, legal and medical
issues surrounding the new community. The book
throws light onto what are complex issues, clarifying
them in a way that all those who think they know
what gender roles mean, will be called to question
the certainties they are no longer about.
Transgender
has become a cultural obsession. From the high
camp of Ru Paul to the working class transsexual
icon, Hayley of the UK's longest running soap
"Coronation Street", it pervades our
lives. Yet for many it remains a freakish interest
on the sidelines. For transsexual and transgender
people, though, it is a reality bound up in complexities,
legal contradictions, family discord, and a desperate
need to explain what it means to be a man or a
woman, or neither, or both.

This
is a compilation of multidisciplinary essays which
discuss same-sex desire among women outside of
Western culture. It explores female eroticism
in such societies and cultures as India, Polynesia,
Latin America, Native North America and southern
Africa. The book offers evidence against the commonly
accepted notion that non-Western women are generally
passive victims of male domination and compulsory
heterosexuality. It also attempts to dispell the
idea that same-sex female desire is rooted in
Western neo-imperialist culture. In a larger sense,
the essays attempt to look past the ethnocentric
categories in which sexuality, identity and culture
are often considered.

Gender
Blending has opended my eyes to a lot of issues
that I had not connected to gender reassignment.
I was looking for a book that would give me an
insight into the world of transvesties, cross
dressers and gender reassignment people. The book
is very thorough in its content, although heavy
reading, it would be very beneficial to anyone
making a serious study of the subject. I have
learnt a lot from the case studies, which I found
very interesting and also about the surgery necessary
to complete the transitions. The reference to
material used is very comprehensive and could
lead a scholar to the direction they wish to study
without too much trouble. This book was too heavy
going for me and I will be looking for lighter
works to read. My interest is on a more practical
level helping with hair removal etc. I spend a
lot of time with various members of the community
and like to understand their point of view. I
was impressed with the style of writing that made
it easy to read but too indepth for my needs.

fascinating collection of essays and personal

This
book highlights the sociopolitical aspect of transgender. The
author says the ultimate solution of transgender
is the change of USA's bipolarism society. In Japan,
I think the situation is somewhat different. The
bipolarism and homophobia are not so strong.Rather, the
phobia for SRS is very strong. The reason is Japanese
think the body is as important as the soul and
cutting off the part of the body is sinful. So
, this book also gave me a chance to think the
cultural differences between the two countries.

The
analysis of opression of minorities and gender

one, is a point which might be debatted - other
sociological factors like goup size and the advantages

be stable are neglected. Still highly to be recomended

This
text presents the extraordinary story of a 17th-century
cross-dresser who became a hero of the Spanish-speaking
world, a darling of the Pope and a conquistador
in Chile and Peru. Catalina de Erauso was born
in 1585 in the Basque city of San Sebastian, and
after fleeing a convent aged 15, she spent the
rest of her life dressed as a man. A soldier by
the age of 18, she inadvertantly killed her brother
in a duel, gambled and brawled her way through
the Andes, and only revealed her secret 20 years
later, when she became a legend in her own time
and for subsequent generations. Her memoirs shed
light not only on the Spanish conquest of America,
but on the life of a woman who challenged the
