T-STAR
|
TStar
on Gender-Web is offered and maintained by Olivia Jensen .
You too can place or arrange to place an information document
or link to another InterNet or WWW service on TStar. For the
present, disk space and network bandwidth problems force us
to limit our local management of documents to non-profit organizations
and groups who serve the transgendered community as a whole.
That is, we are not entertaining the posting of local support
group information and newsletters or personal documents. On
the other hand, if you provide a WWW, gopher or anonymous
ftp service, we shall be glad to open direct hyperlink access
to it from this service.

TG

Subscribers
have unlimited access to a huge and expanding array of services,
information and resources at a very modest price. If you decide
at a later date to cancel, we'll refund the unused portion
of your subscription. What a deal! TGForum has by far the
cheapest per issue subscription rate in the community for
the most frequently published magazine with the best content.

Xpressions |
Xpressions
is a social and support organization dedicated to serving
the larger transgender community. While founded by and for
cross dressers, Xpressions is open to all members of the transgender
community and their partners regardless of sex, gender, race,
or sexual orientation. In addition to its open membership,
the club seeks to aid and support the diverse groups within
the gender community by assisting them in establishing their
own organizations, educating the community with respect to
the breadth of gender diversity, and involving itself in relevant
political action.
Xpressions is dedicated to providing opportunities for gender
diverse persons to meet, socialize, and go out into the larger
community. By holding dinners for members, meetings open to
the entire community, and arranging various annual events
we aim to bring our sisters and brothers out of the closet
by providing safe, fun, and interesting venues and events.
Club publications, some of which form the public face of the
club, are aimed at informing, educating and entertaining members
and other interested readers.
Xpressions
is committed to working with other gender organizations of
all sorts in order to liberate our members from the confines
of the closet and free them from society's restrictive ideology
of gender. Xpressions is premissed on the belief that freedom
to exhibit diverse gender expression is vital in a free and
open society. Moreover, Xpressions believes that the individual
expression of gender diversity is a healthy and natural form
of personal expression that should be encouraged and not condemned.

EVENT NOTICES

REQUEST
FOR TRANSGENDER FILM SUBMISSIONS
The
Southern Comfort Conference is one of the transgender community's
premier events. Every year, hundreds of people from around
the world converge on Atlanta to partake of the rich variety
of educational, social, and personal empowerment programming.
This
year, (our 14th, September 30 - October 2, 2004) we plan to
launch an exhibition of transgender-themed films. Spielberg
& Miramax probably won't be there, but the largest audience
of trans-folk you could ever expect will be. This is an opportunity
to have your work seen by the people who know the topic best.
Like all our conference programming, the screenings will only
be available to registered attendees at no extra charge.
Submissions
should be in DVD or VHS format. Please submit a copy rather
than your original, as submissions will not be returned. They
can be short or feature length, in any genre and any subject,
SO LONG AS they are relevant to transgender culture or perspectives.
Entrants need not be transgendered themselves, so long as
these criteria are met.
Our
intention is to develop an annual film festival at Southern
Comfort that is juried, with prizes awarded. Our mission is
to celebrate and support the evolution of transgender culture
through the cinematic arts. We are counting on the creativity
of potential entrants like yourself to make this a success.
The DEADLINE for submissions is July 1st.
For
information and to enter, contact: films@sccatl.org

more information about the Southern Comfort Conference, please

ARIZONA
Southern
Arizona Gender Alliance |
Formed
in the fall of 2000, TGNet Arizona began as an informational
resource for, by and about the transgender community of Arizona.
Built around the document Gender Identity 101: A Transgender
Primer, TGNet Arizona ONLINE debuted in June 2000. It soon became
clear that the distribution of information on transgender issues
was only a start – that more direct advocacy and education
services were needed, particularly in the areas of employment
and health. In December 2000, TGNet Arizona requested, and received,
the fiscal sponsorship of Wingspan, Southern Arizona's Lesbian,
Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Community Center. Wingspan, the
Southern Arizona GLBT Community Center, has been the fiscal
sponsor of SAGA for four years now and have grown into quite
an organization. SAGA has now combined forces with TGNet Arizona
to create a strong organization for Support, Outreach, Training,
and Community education.
|

of self, raising the understanding and acceptance by the general
public, professional counseling and providing a support network.

The
CHIC membership consists of about 30 male heterosexual crossdressers
and their wives or significant others. We are a social club
for those who have accepted and are comfortable with their
crossdressing.
We meet on the second Saturday of each month at mainstream
public restaurants and occasionally at private homes of members.
Security is a very important concern for our membership and
the screening process is extensive. We are very particular
whom we select for membership and those who succeed find it
is worth their trouble. Contrary to popular belief you do
not have to pass or be wealthy to become a member. There is
no age range that you must be in although you must be at least
21.

Don't Be A Rabbit

Hi
I'm Amanda Kiss. I'm on a mission!!
I, with the dedicated help of
my team, am going to kick the sex industry into action! My
generation's crying out for it. We're young. We're stylish.
We're seriously sexy - so tell my why porn and the sex industry
still looks like something out of a greased up Swedish strip
joint??!! It's about time to overhaul. Get the industry into
this century. Start making porn and toys for stimulation, masturbation,
all-round gratification!!!
So, unashamed, loud and proud,
we've got to business. We've put together the most tantalising
website, where you can explore the world of seriously sexy toy's
- everything that'll make you go 'mmm'. All my favourites, everything
that's been recommended to me and things I've brought back from
my travels around the world in one place. It's hot heaven! Then
there's POUT UNCUT, where TV meets sexy - hot, fast, stylish
and truly pulsing. (Not a rendition of macho moustache in sight!).
It's made to turn you on, and I guarantee - it won't disappoint.
Go see on Sky channel 984. If there's something you think I've
missed then let me know. Click on the Rabbits, visit my store
and email me direct. |

Southern
Colorado IntraRegional Transgender Society |
SCIRTS
(the Southern Colorado IntraRegional Transgendered Society)
is an informal group of transgendered persons, friends, and
family members offering support in a friendly, non-judgmental
environment. (Transgender admirers are not welcome, this is
not a pick up place. Admirers might want to check out the
Clubs on the Places to Go page.) At present it has no formal
structure or by-laws, although a number of "house rules"
are in place, most importantly confidentiality (see Meeting
Policies below). SCIRTS was started in 1996 in Colorado Springs
by LisaJo and Christina Danielle; an associated group in Pueblo
is headed by Shirley Knight. Both continue to touch the lives
of TG persons of all stripes and stages, from those first
coming to grips with their feelings to "post-op"
transsexuals.

Phyllis'
Fantasies |
Phyllis
is a connoisseur of fashion and glamour. But she's also an
understanding, accepting and caring woman. All her life she
has worked hard at perfecting her own look, now her passion
is to help you find your look. Along with all of the above,
you now have the opportunity to experience your new look with
fantasy photos. And Phyllis knows very well how scary a first
night out can be. That's why she offers her accompaniment
on your first big night out. She knows the hot spots where
you can feel at ease, have dinner, dance and meet other wonderful
people like yourself!
